Youth Affairs and Development
Youth affairs and development are sadly an aspect of our society that is flagrantly neglected by governments and politicians. Young people are the backbone of every society and must be given due consideration in the scheme of things. Just because young people can’t vote until they are 18 does not mean that have no voice or choice. I intend to liaise with the Blanchardstown Youth Service and other Youth Groups in the Mulhuddart Constituency to address issues that are of importance to young people such as facilities, grants, promoting events and generally give them a pride of place in our community. My priority would be a Youth Award Scheme, a youth integration programme and a dogged canvassing for a fishing lake for young people in the area.
